First Kids at Camp Couchdale
June 29 - July 2


For 3rd–5th Graders: Nestled along the banks of Lake Catherine, Camp Couchdale is set on 37 private acres just 15 minutes southeast of Hot Springs. With a rich history dating back to the 1920s, it’s the perfect place for a week of adventure.

Departure & Return
  • DEPARTURE: Monday, June 29 at 9:00 AM
    • Location: First Baptist Church Hot Springs.
    • Check-In: Enter through the south side entrance (opposite the offices). Doors open at 8:00 AM.
  • RETURN: Thursday, July 2 (Time TBD)
    • Location: FBC Parking Lot.

Packing List(Please label all luggage)
  • Bible (with name inside)
  • Flashlight & Water Bottle (labeled)
  • Pillow & Twin-size Bedding or Sleeping Bag
  • Bath Towels, Washcloths, and Beach Towel
  • Toiletries & Hygiene items
  • Shower shoes
  • 2 Pairs of Tennis Shoes: The ground is hilly and rocky. One pair will get wet during the foam party and may not be dry by the next day.
  • Clothing: Church camp appropriate (no tank tops, low-cut tops, or short shorts).
  • Swimwear: One-piece or modest tankini. Cover-ups must be worn to and from the pool/slide.
Electronic Device-Free Week: To ensure kids get the most out of their experience, please leave all cell phones, smart watches, and tablets/iPads at home.

Important Logistics
  • Luggage Drop-off: Upon arrival, follow instructions from the greeters to drop luggage in the designated areas (separated by boys and girls).
  • Health & Medication: On-site nurses will conduct a mandatory health screening during check-in. (A copy of our Health Screening Form is located on registration page.)

    • Meds: Bring labeled medication in a Ziploc bag with a completed Medication Form. (A copy is provided when you register.)
  • Money: Extra money isn't required as snacks/water are provided, but a camp store is available for souvenirs and extra treats.
  • Cabins: FBC has reserved the entire camp; only our staff and kids will be on-site. All cabins are air-conditioned.

Meals & Allergies
  • Notify Staff: Please inform FBC staff of specific dietary needs.
  • Nut Awareness: Peanuts/tree nuts are present in some pre-packaged camp snacks.
  • Restrictions: We are unable to accommodate vegetarian or vegan diets.
  • Outside Food: Allergy-friendly food from home must be "ready to eat" or microwaveable, clearly labeled, and will be stored in our kitchen.

Registration & Requirements
  • Deadline: Full payment of $200 and registration are due by Thursday, May 28.
  • Mandatory Waiver: FBC Medical Treatment Permission, Photograph/Video/Social Media Permission & Release of Liability Form - your child will NOT be permitted to leave for camp unless we have form on file. If your child has participated in other FBC camps, Bible Drill, etc. we should have one. Their form will remain on file in the church office until child graduates from high school or is revoked by their guardian in writing. It is the guardian’s sole responsibility to notify the church office if any information changes.
